AW139 Lightweight Emergency Liferaft Kit (15-man overload with Internal Handles)
The AW139 Liferaft Kit consists of 2 externally mounted liferaft pod assemblies (LH and RH), a liferaft inflation reservoir with a mechanical activation system, as well as all of the plumbing, pull cables, and hardware required for installation. The liferaft pod assemblies are comprised of an aluminum mounting structure, a fabric top cover, a composite bottom cover, a 10-man (15-man overload) or 12-man (17-man overload) reversible liferaft and an integrated composite passenger step. 1 liferaft reservoir assembly with hoses that lead to each chamber of the 2 liferafts is included. The liferafts are comprised of a twin tube design, a canopy, a survival kit and a fabric cover and meet all applicable TS0-C70a requirements. The AW139 Liferaft Kit offers a significan weight savings when compared to competing products. This translates into increased payload for every single offshore mission. The kit is located closer to the belly and generates a lower drag moment on the airframe, which can have a positive effect on handling characteristics. The liferafts can be mechanically activated via anyone of the 3 inflation levers (2 located in the cockpit and a 3rd one that can either be a cabin-mounted t-handle or external handles). The external handles are positioned on the belly to be more accessible in case the helicopter capsizes. A very competitive spare, exchange and overhaul program is offered.
